Aisha N. Braveboy, the Democratic Nominee for Prince George's County Executive, has named transition co-chairs, a steering committee, and advisory committees to address critical areas of governance, public engagement, and community services. 

These committees will play an essential role in shaping the county's future by offering strategic guidance and community-driven recommendations across key policy and operational sectors.

TRANSITION COMMITTEES

Braveboy Administration 2025

We formed committees to focus on key aspects of governance, public engagement, and community services. During the initial transition phase, almost 400 residents volunteered to take on advisory roles until the certification of the June 3rd General Election results.

 

Their contributions are invaluable, and we eagerly anticipate sharing their findings and recommendations soon.  The list of committees is listed below - click to learn more.

PRIORITIES

Corrections and Returning Citizens Services

This committee will assess the current correctional facilities, reentry programs, and services supporting individuals transitioning back into the community after incarceration.

Budget, Government Structure, and Operations

This committee evaluates Prince George’s County government’s fiscal health, administrative structure, and operational efficiency.

Beautification, Enforcement, and Environment

This committee will focus on creating cleaner, greener, and more vibrant communities throughout Prince George’s County.

Disability Services

This committee will focus on building a more accessible, inclusive, and empowering Prince George’s County for residents with disabilities.

Education, Employment, and Workforce Development 

This committee is committed to building a “cradle-to-career” pipeline that supports educational excellence, equitable access to opportunity, meaningful employment, and strong workforce readiness for all Prince George’s County residents.

Faith-Based & Non-Profits 

This committee will engage and collaborate with the diverse faith communities and nonprofit organizations of Prince George’s County to strengthen partnerships that support spiritual, social, and civic well-being.

This committee will focus on strengthening collaboration between Prince George’s County and its municipal, state, federal, and regional partners.

This committee will focus on advancing equity, access, and integration for immigrant communities and English as a Second Language (ESL) residents in Prince George’s County.

This committee will focus on improving the overall health and well-being of Prince George’s County residents through proactive, equitable, and community-centered strategies.

LGBTQIA+

This committee will focus on advancing equity, inclusion, and well-being for LGBTQIA+ residents in Prince George’s County.

M-NCPPC + DPIE

Subcommittees: Parks and Recreation & Planning, Zoning, and Permitting

Next Gen (Youth and Young Adults)

This committee will center the voices, needs, and aspirations of Prince George’s County’s youth and young adults.

This committee is focused on strengthening how Prince George’s County government serves and engages with its residents.

This committee will evaluate public safety policies and emergency preparedness efforts to ensure that Prince George’s County is safe, responsive, and resilient.

Procurement, Business Development, and Wealth Creation

This committee will focus on creating a more inclusive and equitable economic landscape in Prince George’s County.

Senior Services, Outreach, and Engagement 

This committee will focus on enhancing the quality of life for older adults in Prince George’s County through comprehensive services, active outreach, and meaningful engagement.

Sports, Entertainment, Fashion, and Arts

This committee will promote and support Prince George’s County’s dynamic cultural landscape by advancing sports, entertainment, fashion, and the arts opportunities.

Strategic Communications & Digital Engagement 

This committee will guide how Prince George’s County communicates with the public and represents its values through digital, visual, and community-centered messaging.

This committee will prioritize leveraging technology to improve government operations, enhance public services, and expand digital access across Prince George’s County.
