Sports, Entertainment, Fashion, and Arts
This committee will promote and support Prince George’s County’s dynamic cultural landscape by advancing sports, entertainment, fashion, and the arts opportunities.
It will assess the economic, educational, and community impact of creative and recreational industries and explore strategies to nurture local talent, celebrate cultural heritage, and expand access to artistic expression.
The committee will work to strengthen partnerships with schools, community organizations, small businesses, and industry leaders to develop programs, events, and venues that foster creativity, drive tourism, and boost economic development.
Emphasis will also be placed on enhancing the county’s nightlife/entertainment districts, supporting diverse multi-generational entertainment experiences, and creating opportunities to host national festivals and events to position Prince George’s County as a premier destination for arts, culture, and its rich history.
