Public Safety and Homeland Security
This committee will evaluate public safety policies and emergency preparedness efforts to ensure that Prince George’s County is safe, responsive, and resilient.
It will examine best community-oriented law enforcement practices, fire and EMS services, crime prevention strategies, and community-based safety initiatives.
The committee will also assess the County’s capacity to respond to natural disasters, public health crises, and other emergencies, focusing on coordination, communication, and equity. Emphasis will be placed on building trust and reliability between public safety agencies and their communities while advancing justice, transparency, and effective response systems.
